Our Community

our community

From its earliest years, Loreto Mandeville Hall has been blessed with the support of a caring and committed School Community.  The Loreto Sisters, Staff past and present, Students, Parents, Past Pupils and their Parents who have been part of the Loreto tradition since the School first opened in Toorak in 1924, made the School we have today.  It is their hard work, vision and generosity that laid the foundation for a School that is now ranked in the top 10 in Australia.

United by our ties with the School, we celebrate each other's joys and achievements and provide support and solace in times of trouble and loss.

Support for the School comes from many sources in gifts of time and talent and through philanthropic donations. The School is fortunate to have enthusiastic and energetic volunteers contributing through the School Council and its Committees; the Parents' Association and other parent support groups and through the Loreto Toorak Past Pupils' Association.

Loreto Cooks

Loreto Cooks

The Development Office is undertaking a special fundraising project. We have published a commemorative cookbook to celebrate 400 years of Loreto education worldwide. This cookbook is called “Loreto Cooks” and is a most beautiful keepsake filled with gastronomic delights from generations of Loreto cooks. The Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak community, spread around the world, has submitted recipes. Loreto Cooks will become a collector’s item in the Loreto archives for the next 400 years.

The Forward is written by Renowned Restauranteur, Roberto Scheriani of The Italian, 101 Collins St.
