Early Learning

"To open a child's mind to learning and discovery is a gift for life"

St Peter's Early Learning Centre is a partnership in education between the Parish of St Peter's, Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak and St Kevin's College, Toorak.

At St Peter’s ELC, children are given the opportunity and time to discover and explore, to question and predict, to wonder and to dream. The wider world becomes the child’s world. St Peter’s ELC is a co-educational setting, offering children from three years of age the opportunity to learn through play.

The Early Learning Centre opened in 2002 and is currently situated in the historical grounds of Loreto Mandeville Hall, Toorak. The educational play-centred program is informed by the Reggio Emilia educational project and Howard Gardner's concepts of learning and built upon the Christian values which underpin our Catholic ethos; understanding, integrity, justice, freedom and felicity. Providing a unique, stimulating and caring environment for your child.

St Peter's ELC is co-educational and offers a 5 day (8.45am - 2.45pm) program or a part time program of 3 or 4 days per week for children in the 3 Year Old Kindergarten, and a 5 day (8.45am - 2.45pm) program to children in the Pre-Prep Kindergarten. All classes have 2 staff, a qualified Early Childhood teacher and co-educator, at all times. Before Care operates from 8.00am - 8.45am and After Care from 2.45pm - 6.00pm. Please note Camp Australia will operate the after school care on site between 5.00pm - 6.00pm and additional fees will apply.
