Our highly acclaimed Visual Arts curriculum challenges our students by engaging them in a range of creative and innovative art-making experiences.

All students study Visual Art in Year 7, and an elective in Year 8.

In Year 9, students can choose between three Visual Arts subjects: Media, Visual Arts, and Visual Communication Design. In Year 10, the electives are expanded to include Studio Art.

We offer four VCE Visual Arts subjects: Art, Media, Studio Art, and Visual Communication Design. Our Visual Arts program is extremely popular, with approximately 50% of students selecting a Visual Arts subject as part of their VCE. The consistently outstanding results, along with the annual awards and prizes received by our art students, are testament to the quality of programs offered.

Students can develop skills in a diverse range of media including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, traditional photography, digital imaging, and graphic design. Professional training is provided by highly experienced teachers. The department is made up of practicing artists, industry professionals, and curriculum leaders.
