Home Grown Talent- Winner Announced

Thank you to all the girls who entered the Home-Grown Talent competition last term. We had over 60 excellent entries! We congratulate the winner Abigail Gitsham (Year 10) for her outstanding film: Rebellion. Read Abigail’s statement here:
"My animation is about a very bored girl who is struggling with feeling of listlessness just sitting around the house with her dull and nasty grandparents. However, through her interesting, idiosyncratic neighbour she begins to find meaning though music and literature. It is about the importance of finding meaning in things and individuality in the face of dullness, bitterness and conformity."

Congratulations also to our runner up Siena Di Filipo (year 7) who choreographed a beautiful dance to the song Don’t Stay Low.
Read Siena’s statement here:
"During quarantine, we moved into an apartment and there wasn’t much room to dance. But that wasn’t going to stop me. I made use of the space in the living room and my bedroom. I improved a lot. In isolation I was able to put more effort into my dancing than normal. Meaning I was able to improve while still doing something I love."
