At Loreto Toorak, we understand that a girl’s primary years are the foundation of her entire educational life. Here, we transform curiosity into confidence, providing a nurturing, vibrant environment where she finds her own direction.
At Rathfarnham, we believe that academic excellence is best achieved when learning is matched to a girl’s natural developmental journey. Our curriculum is designed to spark interest while building the essential tools she needs for the future.
As the pillars of her success, we employ evidence-based teaching to ensure she gains fluency, comprehension, and a genuine love for language and logic.
From Preparatory, specialist teachers spark her curiosity across subjects like Science, the Arts, and languages including Chinese (Mandarin), French, Indonesian and Italian.
We are dedicated to stretching our students’ capabilities through tailored extension programs that challenge their thinking and foster deep, critical engagement with their studies.
Beyond the classroom, the Rathfarnham experience fosters deep engagement, safety, and connection, creating the essential foundation for readiness to learn.

More than just a collection of books, our library is the intellectual heart of the Junior School.
It is where she builds early research skills, explores new worlds through reading, and finds a quiet space for reflection. From Year 5, students also have the opportunity to access the Mandeville Centre Library as part of our Homework Club.

Her journey is enriched by a variety of engaging clubs. Whether she is interested in the wonders of Bee Keeping, the logic of Chess, or the innovation of Engineering, there is a space for her to explore her passions outside of the traditional classroom.

Supervised care is provided for all our students from 7.00am in the Library.
