Orla S (Year 10) competing in the 2000m Steeple

The Loreto Toorak Athletics team achieved exciting results at the Victorian All School Track & Field Championships held over the last two weekends. This competition is open to secondary-aged students, who are competing not only for their personal bests, but also the opportunity to represent their state in at Nationals in December. Athletes who place in the top two of each event qualify for the Australian All Schools Championships next month, proving this to be a very difficult team to make.

  • Cleo R (Year 10) – gold in 800m and gold in 1500m
  • Orla S (Year 10) – silver in 2000m Steeple and 4th in the 3000m

Honourable mentions to:

  • Millie F (Year 7) made the final of the U14 200m - a fantastic achievement given Millie remains in the same age group next year.
  • Anika K (Year 9) narrowly missed a silver medal in the U16 High Jump, winning bronze in her first-ever All Schools competition.

We are very proud of our athletes, who have all showed a tremendous amount of composure to perform under pressure.
