Success for the Loreto Toorak Cross-Country Team!
Over the weekend, Loreto Toorak had eight teams competing across four age groups at the Victorian All Schools Road Relay Championships. This team-based relay involves four members running 2.2km or 3km each, depending on their age group. A special congratulations to our U20 team who were the winners of their age group!
A great show of teamwork was present during the day as our runners encouraged and supported each other throughout the course. We came away with 1 set of medals but 32 happy smiles.
A few days later at the Yarra Bend Park, the 90-strong team encountered rain and strong winds in the GSV Preliminary B Cross-Country Carnival. Led by Captains of Cross-Country Bridie and Scarlett, the team was unfazed by the weather conditions and had a great run. Our Senior students dominated, with 6 students ranking among the top 10 finishers and clinching first, second and third place in their age group.
We look forward to seeing the team compete in Division 1 of the GSV Championship Carnival at the end of the month.
