The Loreto Toorak Year 7 team performed brilliantly at the regional Da Vinci Decathlon earlier this week. An academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of students, the Da Vinci Decathlon invites teams of eight students to compete across 10 disciplines: Engineering, Mathematics and Chess, Code Breaking, Art and Poetry, Science, English, Ideation, Creative Producers, Cartography, and Legacy.
Although our Year 7 team were nervous leading up to the competition, they collaborated well, sharing their skills and ideas with each other to achieve an impressive outcome. Most importantly, they enjoyed the day, engaging with the challenges that develop critical thinking and problem solving.
Congratulations to the team for achieving first in Engineering, second in Art and Poetry, and third in Science!
