We are very proud of our Cross-Country athletes for all the work that they’ve put into their training and competitions. Despite the unforgiving weather conditions, both our Cross-Country teams were Runners-Up in their respective Championship Carnivals.
GSV Years 5 and 6 Cross-Country Carnival
Our Years 5 and 6 students took part in the first-ever GSV Years 5 and 6 Cross-Country Carnival. They had a fantastic run at Cruden Farm, competing against 12 other schools.
Congratulations to the following individuals on their podium finishes:
- Scarlett, Year 5A, 3rd Place
- Milla, Year 5B, 1st Place
- Arabella, Year 6A, 3rd Place
- Ava, Year 6B, 2nd Place
This is the first of three sports carnivals that our Years 5 and 6 students will be taking part in this year, as part of the pilot program by GSV. Loreto Toorak’s involvement in this program adds to the abundance of opportunities available to our Rathfarnham students, including district sports through School Sports Victoria (SSV).
GSV Championship (Division 1) Carnival
After winning the Intermediate and Senior age groups, our Year 7 – 12 team almost closed the gap of 11 points with the winning school. We are so proud of the team for the leaps of improvement they have shown from race to race.
