Alumnae Visit to Year 12 students
As part of
the Year 12 Ignite program, last week we welcomed Alumna Lauren Grant (2018) to
present to our students.
Lauren
recently completed her studies in Commerce/PPE at Australian National University
and will soon undertake an internship with the IBVM/CJ office at the United Nations in
New York City, prior to commencing full-time work as a management consultant
later this year.
During her
studies, Lauren established Axxelerate, a business for young women to accelerate
their career development through education and engagement opportunities. By
empowering university students, Axxelerate helps to kickstart careers and build
a network of ambitious young women who are enabled to make the transition from study to work
with ease and success.
Lauren led
our current Year 12 students through a workshop that included advice and
strategies to consider as they prepare to commence tertiary studies next year.
Lauren's warm enthusiasm and personal experience captivated her audience,
inspiring great discussion and ideas amongst the cohort as they make prepare to
make plans for life after School.
