Mary Ward Connect: A Week of Connection, Community and Celebration

Last week our Year 10 students took part in Mary Ward Connect and what a brilliant week it was.

Students and staff travelled to Loreto Coorparoo (QLD) and Loreto Kirribilli (NSW). We also hosted visiting students and staff from these two schools. Mary Ward Connect is a true expression of the strong connection, based on our common Loreto values and Mary Ward‘s vision, shared by our school network around Australia. In this 150th year of Loreto in Australia we also particularly celebrated the pioneering spirit of Mother Gonzaga Barry, who right from the beginning of her foundation in 1875 encouraged her students and teachers all around Australia to ’federate for something good‘.

Over a week of shared conversations, meals, excursions, assemblies, classes and travels, the annual experience of Mary Ward Connect was once again something truly ’very good‘. Congratulations and thanks to our Year 10 students for their wonderful engagement in this program.
